JKA Qualification Pathway

Preparation for JKA Licences

This course helps students build the technical knowledge, teaching discipline and professional foundation needed for future JKA qualification pathways.

Instructor, Examiner and Judge Preparation

As per the JKA qualification system, JKA qualifications include authorised Instructor qualifications for teaching karate, authorised Judge qualifications for judging and refereeing tournaments, and authorised Examiner qualifications for testing and evaluating Dan and other qualifications. This diploma is designed to support long-term preparation for these pathways through karate technique, coaching methodology, dojo discipline, class management, assessment awareness and supervised teaching practice.

Important JKA Qualification Eligibility
  • Candidates who wish to apply for JKA qualification examinations must hold a valid JKA Individual Member ID.
  • Minimum rank requirement for the first JKA qualification level is JKA Nidan / 2nd Dan or above, subject to the official JKA qualification class and age requirements.
  • Official eligibility, examination permission and licence awarding remain under the official JKA qualification system and authorised JKA examiners.
Important: This course supports preparation and development. It does not automatically grant JKA Instructor, Judge or Examiner licences. Official JKA qualifications are awarded only through the official JKA qualification examination and eligibility process.
