A Memorable Celebration of Karate in Dubai
JKA Shotokan Karate Club Dubai successfully organised the JKA Shotokan Karate Club Dubai Inter-Dojo Karate Championship 2026 on Sunday, 21 June 2026, at the Al Nahda-2 Dojo in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The championship brought together karate students for an exciting and professionally organised programme of Kata and Kumite competition. Participants demonstrated strong technique, concentration, confidence, discipline, determination and respect throughout the event.
Students competed across different ages, belt levels and competition categories. The event gave every participant an opportunity to test their skills, gain valuable championship experience and demonstrate their progress in Shotokan karate.

Developing Confidence Through Karate Competition
Karate championships are an important part of an athlete’s long-term development. Competition helps students improve concentration, technical control, confidence, emotional awareness, decision-making and sportsmanship.
Kata competitors must demonstrate correct technique, balance, rhythm, speed, power, focus and strong presentation. Kumite competitors must apply timing, distance, control, awareness and tactical decision-making in a safe competitive environment.
Winning a medal is an important achievement. However, the greater value comes from preparation, participation, self-evaluation and continued improvement. Every student who entered the competition demonstrated courage and commitment to the principles of Karate-Do.
