A standard private dojo session is approximately 60 minutes. Longer sessions may be arranged in advance and will be quoted separately.
Are private classes suitable for complete beginners?
Yes. Beginners can learn correct stances, movement, basic techniques, etiquette and foundational JKA Shotokan Karate at an appropriate pace.
Can children book private karate lessons?
Yes. Private classes are available for children age 4+, subject to assessment, instructor availability and the child’s readiness to participate.
Can an instructor come to our home?
Yes, subject to availability and a suitable training space. Home-visit pricing is customised based on the location, travel time, instructor, session duration and number of participants.
Can siblings or family members train together?
Yes. Semi-private and family sessions can be arranged. The quotation depends on the number of participants, selected instructor, location and session format.
Do private classes prepare students for JKA grading?
Yes. Private coaching may support kihon, kata, kumite and technical preparation for JKA Kyu or Dan examinations. Examination eligibility remains subject to club and JKA requirements.
